Job summary

nVent in Lexington, MN is seeking a Quality Engineer to represent the Quality function, acting as the primary liaison with customers and building confidence in our processes.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, operations and suppliers to ensure high-quality, compliant products, lead MRB and NCR activities, and drive corrective actions using Six Sigma methodologies. APQP support for new launches is also included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in Manufacturing or Quality.
• Quality certifications such as CQE/CMQ/CQA and ISO 9001:2015 internal auditor training preferred.
• Experience in process improvement, Six Sigma, Lean, and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Quality function and act as a primary liaison with customers.
• Facilitate customer engagement to address concerns and align on quality expectations.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, operations, and suppliers.
• Support production teams to ensure high-quality, compliant products.
• Lead MRB activities and drive corrective actions.
• Manage NCRs and external quality issues from detection to resolution.
• Lead Six Sigma DMAIC projects for containment and root cause analysis.
• Support APQP activities for new product launches (PFMEAs, Control Plans, GR&R, FAI).
