Job summary

Quanex, a global manufacturing leader, seeks a Quality Engineer to ensure products meet high standards at site in Minnesota. You will lead quality initiatives, support the QMS, and collaborate across operations to improve processes and reliability.

The role requires strong root-cause analysis, Lean Six Sigma knowledge, and 5+ years in quality, with on-site work in St. Cloud or Mounds View. Competitive salary and benefits accompany this opportunity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or Quality.
• 5–7 years’ experience in lieu of education.
• 5+ years of quality experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of ISO 9001 and Lean Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operations, manufacturing and product engineering, suppliers, and customers to develop quality standards and specifications.
• Assure accuracy of quality documentation including hold tags, inspection reports, data collection, supplier inspection reports and test reports.
• Develop and maintain supplier quality audit materials and supplier quality metrics.
• Lead cross‑functional teams in problem‑solving sessions to establish definitive root cause and effective corrective actions for both internal and supplier quality issues.
• Teach and train quality expectations and programs for new hires and host ongoing quality trainings.
• Lead document control program.
