Job summary

nVent seeks a Quality Engineer II in Anoka, MN to drive quality across Data Center Solutions. You will represent the Quality function, liaise with customers, and lead defect reduction activities while guiding NCRs from detection to resolution.

In this role you will partner with manufacturing, engineering, and suppliers to ensure high-quality, compliant products and support APQP activities for new launches, including PFMEAs and control plans.

Qualifications

• Represent the Quality function and act as a liaison with customers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across manufacturing, engineering and suppliers
• Lead defect reduction activities and disposition of NCRs
• Support APQP activities for new product launches (PFMEAs, Control Plans, GR&R, FAI)

Responsibilities

• Represent the Quality function and act as a primary liaison with customers, building strong relationships and confidence in our processes.
• Facilitate customer engagement at multiple levels and address concerns to align on quality expectations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across manufacturing, engineering, operations and suppliers.
• Support production to ensure high-quality, compliant products are delivered.
• Lead quality problem-solving using Six Sigma (DMAIC) methodologies.
• Manage internal non-conformance reports (NCRs) and external quality issues from identification to resolution.
• Evaluate suspect or nonconforming materials with diverse teams to implement corrective actions.
