Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Quality Engineer to lead quality excellence across sheet metal and coil manufacturing. You will drive QA processes, review drawings, perform inspections, and push CAPA improvements to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.

You'll analyze quality performance data, investigate root causes, coordinate with production, engineering, and supply chain, and prepare reports for management and customers. Some travel up to 25% will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 1+ years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing; low-volume/high-mix preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality systems.
• Experience with APQP, FMEA, CAPA, NCR, deviation management, and problem solving.
• Experience with root cause analysis and cross-functional corrective action.
• Strong Excel and Power BI skills; data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; customer/supplier interaction.
• Willing to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain QA processes for AHU fabrication and assembly.
• Review drawings and specs to ensure dimensional/quality adherence.
• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections.
• Investigate nonconforming material and coordinate CAPA.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain to improve quality.
• Prepare quality reports and containment actions.
• Support supplier quality activities and audits.
• Verify compliance with industry standards and customer specs.
