Job summary

Johnson Controls in York, Pennsylvania is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead quality initiatives across sheet metal and coil manufacturing. You will review drawings and customer requirements, perform inspections, and drive CAPA and root-cause investigations to sustain product quality and production efficiency.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field and 1+ years in a manufacturing quality environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
1+ years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality systems.

Responsibilities

Lead quality improvement initiatives across sheet metal and coil manufacturing.
Review drawings, specs, and customer requirements for dimensional quality.
Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections of components.
Investigate nonconformances, drive root cause analysis, and implement CAPA.
Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain to improve quality and process performance.
Create and maintain inspection and control plans, work instructions, and QMS documentation.
Monitor quality metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Support supplier quality activities and audits.
Participate in new product introductions and risk assessments.
Prepare quality reports and status updates for management and customers.
