Job summary

LG Electronics USA is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support our Quality Warranty team in Michigan. You will serve as a direct contact for e-PT components, performing analysis, repair, and root-cause investigations to drive reliability and customer satisfaction.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical/electronics engineering, knowledge of quality systems, and travel up to 10%. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years in Electrical/Electronics Application or Test Engineering.
• Experience in Quality Engineering Root Cause Analysis and process improvement.
• Knowledge of TS16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC.
• Understanding of PCB assembly (PCBA) and ability to read electrical schematics.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Manage warranty center operations for e-PT components.
• Analyze root cause, repair, and refurbish defective parts.
• Validate with chamber/TAS and test EOL equipment.
• Maintain test equipment (EOL, Charger/Discharger, Leak Tester).
• Oversee quality issues including field support and RMA.
• Analyze warranty claims to determine root cause.
• Perform teardown and failure analysis of returned product.
• Conduct SWAP testing with tracked removed parts.
• Lead APQP activities and PPAP documentation for customer approval.
• Lead containment actions for emerging quality issues.
• Communicate effectively with customer and internal teams.
• Lead Product Review Report (PRR) investigations and recommendations.
• Prepare technical reports and report status using industry methodologies.
