Job summary

Hensel Phelps seeks a Quality Control Manager to implement and manage the QC program across one or more on-site projects. You will coordinate QC engineers, work with the PM/PS to resolve issues, and drive the quality initiative in a safety-sensitive environment.

Responsibilities include leading QC meetings, maintaining QA/QC logs, reviewing test and inspection results, and interfacing with owners and trade partners to ensure compliance and timely issue resolution.

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture or construction management, or similar experience in a related position.
• Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience on large commercial construction projects.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Prolog, Primavera and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the start-up and implementation of the six-step quality control/safety process.
• Lead the weekly QC meetings.
• Review project quality process logs and inspection reports.
• Coordinate RFIs and testing schedules with owners and trade partners.
• Audit QC procedures and address chronic issues with management.
• Support selection of outside testing contractors and ensure compliance.
