Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Quality Compliance Engineer to own and advance its QMS as part of Battlespace Awareness. You will lead AS9100D/ISO 9001 processes, internal and supplier audits, and product-quality improvements on the factory floor and in our documentation systems.

The role emphasizes hands-on floor work, cross‑functional collaboration with Product Quality Engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives to meet aerospace quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace and/or defense manufacturing.
• Deep knowledge of AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 auditing.
• AS9100D internal auditor certification or ability to certify within 90 days of hire.
• Demonstrated ownership of a corrective action system.
• Experience with ERP, PLM, and BI systems to build quality reporting.
• US Person status and travel ~20%.

Responsibilities

• Own the BA quality management system and its top-level processes—keeping procedures, work instructions, and records current, compliant, and actually used.
• Serve as the primary QMS process owner supporting the designated management representative under AS9100D §5.3; lead QMS planning, risk and opportunity management, and the Management Review cycle.
• Own the internal audit program end to end: schedule, qualify, and supervise auditors; ensure independence; drive closure of findings.
• Own supplier and external provider audit program under AS9100D §8.4; build supplier audit schedule and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Support first article inspection (AS9102), nonconforming material, MRB disposition, and field escapes in collaboration with Product Quality Engineering.
• Manage registrar relationships and certification cycle activities; coordinate customer audits and responses.
• Own quality KPIs and dashboards; report trends monthly to leadership; drive improvement actions.
• Conduct 6S and FOD audits on the production floor and maintain ESD and counterfeit parts prevention programs.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions from audits and customer visits.
• Oversee document control, revision control, and training packages; manage records and approvals.
• Collaborate with product and manufacturing engineers during new product development to ensure QMS readiness.
• Develop internal QMS road map for tools and capabilities to scale BA’s QMS with the enterprise procedures.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities benefitting QMS and product quality.
• Support investigations, initiatives, and projects at team or organizational level
