Job summary

Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC) is seeking a Quality Manager to lead organization-wide quality management, accreditation readiness, and regulatory compliance across programs in Arizona and beyond.

You will drive performance improvement initiatives and oversee staff involved in quality activities. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, you will coordinate provider enrollment, licensure renewals, and training programs, ensuring adherence to CARF, AHCCCS, and Medicare/Medicaid requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years in quality management, compliance or healthcare operations.
  • Experience coordinating quality management, accreditation, provider enrollment, compliance, licensure, or regulatory functions in healthcare or behavioral health.
  • Experience with CARF accreditation, AHCCCS, ADHS, NPI management, Medicare/Medicaid licensing requirements preferred.
  • Valid Arizona driver’s license and ability to travel if required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead quality management, accreditation, regulatory compliance across assigned programs.
  • Coordinate organization-wide quality initiatives, staff training, safety and compliance activities.
  • Serve as SME and project lead for CARF AHCCCS NPI licensure and related quality functions across Arizona and New Mexico.
  • Partner with program leadership to implement continuous quality improvement and risk mitigation across the organization.
  • Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance management for Quality Specialists.

About Centro De La Familia CPLC Centro De La Familia provides outpatient behavioral health services for families and individuals of all ages. The program offers counseling and therapy services to those living with serious mental illness, general mental health issues, and substance abuse issues. These issues can be related to depression, anxiety, relationships, loss, substance abuse, suicidal thoughts, and trauma from sexual, emotional and/or physical abuse. Outpatient services offer flexible office hours and home-based services for children and their families, public transit accessibility, therapy in English and Spanish, and professional staff who utilize best practice models for treatment.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?
  • Under the direction of the Senior Vice President you will lead quality management, accreditation, regulatory compliance, licensure, credentialing, and performance improvement activities across assigned programs.
  • You will provide oversight and coordination of organization-wide quality initiatives, including accreditation readiness, staff training programs, safety and compliance activities, provider enrollment and registration processes, and ongoing regulatory requirements.
  • You will serve as a subject matter expert and project lead for CARF accreditation, AHCCCS compliance, NPI management, licensure renewals, and related quality functions across Arizona, New Mexico, and other assigned service areas.
  • You will partner with program leadership to implement continuous quality improvement strategies, ensure regulatory compliance, mitigate risk, and support operational excellence throughout the organization.
WHAT MAKES YOU A STRONG QUALITY MANAGER?
  • You possess a strong knowledge of behavioral health quality management, regulatory compliance, accreditation standards, and performance improvement methodologies.
  • You have experience interpreting and applying AHCCCS, ADHS, CARF, Medicare, Medicaid, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • You have demonstrated analytical abilities with experience evaluating performance metrics, conducting root cause analysis, and identifying process improvement opportunities.
  • You have the ability to influence outcomes and build collaborative relationships across multiple programs and departments without direct authority.
  • You have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, audits, and compliance activities simultaneously.
  • You have demonstrated experience managing regulatory, accreditation, and quality improvement projects across multiple programs, departments, and locations.
  • You have strong knowledge of CARF standards, AHCCCS requirements, provider enrollment processes, organizational licensure requirements, and healthcare compliance practices.
  • You have the proven ability to coordinate enterprise-wide training, accreditation preparation, and regulatory readiness activities.
  • You have experience supporting multi-state operations and navigating varying state regulatory and licensing requirements preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance management for a team of Quality Specialists including conducting one-on-one supervision, staffing, and corrective action as needed.
  • Participate in selection, hiring, onboarding, training, development, and performance evaluations.
  • Make recommendations regarding promotions, disciplinary actions, and employment status changes in partnership with leadership.
  • Monitor workload distribution and ensures equitable workload management.
  • Ensure staff compliance with policies, documentation requirements, and program timeframes.
Minimum Qualifications And Competencies

Education/Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and four (4) years of quality management, compliance, accreditation, or healthcare operations experience, including three (3) years of experience coordinating quality management, accreditation, provider enrollment, compliance, licensure, credentialing, or regulatory functions within healthcare, behavioral health, human services, or a related environment required.
  • Experience within behavioral health, integrated healthcare, managed care, or human services environments preferred.
  • Experience with CARF accreditation, AHCCCS provider enrollment, ADHS, NPI management, Medicare, Medicaid, licensing processes, or similar regulatory and accreditation requirements preferred.
  • Valid Arizona driver's license and ability to meet insurability requirements if travel is required for the position.
  • Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered to meet the qualifications of this role.
