Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC) is seeking a Family Assistance Program Specialist to provide emergency assistance and resource navigation for low-income households across Arizona.
You will help individuals access utility, rental, funeral, and other supportive services while engaging with youth and families at outreach events and workshops. Because apparently navigating rental assistance, utility support, and public resources should not require a PhD in bureaucracy. Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. As a Family Assistance Program Specialist, you will provide general emergency assistance and resource navigation to low-income households throughout Arizona. You will support individuals and families experiencing crisis by helping them access utility, rental, funeral, and other available assistance. You will also participate in community outreach events, engage with youth and families, support workshops and events, and assist eligible individuals in accessing state resources and other services. You will ensure applicants receive accurate guidance throughout the application process while maintaining a strong understanding of program eligibility requirements, application procedures, relevant policies, and available community resources. In this role, you will support the Project Lead in implementing grant deliverables and participate in youth, individual, and family programming that helps achieve contract and grant goals.
You are compassionate, resourceful, and comfortable working with individuals and families facing challenging circumstances. You have strong communication and organizational skills and can provide excellent customer service while handling sensitive and confidential information with professionalism. You can work independently while also collaborating with a high-performing team. You are proactive about identifying community resources, outreach opportunities, and partnerships that help expand access to services. You are also comfortable balancing direct client support, administrative responsibilities, outreach activities, and program documentation.
