Qualifications

• At least 2+ years in software testing or QA with mobile testing.

Responsibilities

About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Quality Assurance Engineer to join our fully remote engineering team at Jobrapido. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and quality of our multi-platform SaaS platform, which includes our legacy React web app, modern Next.js web app, React Native mobile application, and backend infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on expanding our automated testing frameworks, developing scalable test automation solutions, and supporting all stages of the software development lifecycle. Success in this position will be demonstrated through increased automated test coverage, reduced defect rates, and improved user experience for our brokers, contractors, and haulers who depend on our platform daily. Qualifications

Required qualifications include a minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in software testing or quality assurance, with a proven track record testing mobile applications built with React Native. Candidates should possess hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks such as Cypress for end-to-end testing and Jest for unit testing. Familiarity with cross-platform automation tools like Playwright, Detox, or Appium is essential. Experience testing modern web applications developed with React 18 and Next.js 14, along with backend validation involving Node.js and NoSQL databases such as Google Cloud Firestore, is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of version control systems (Git) and code-quality tools like ESLint and Prettier is required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment are critical. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with Expo, mobile CI/CD pipelines using EAS Build and EAS Submit, understanding of data warehousing with Google BigQuery, and experience testing third-party API integrations such as Twilio, SendGrid, or Samsara. An interest or background in testing AI and machine learning applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

As a Mobile Quality Assurance Engineer, your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of testing and validation activities. You will write, maintain, and expand end-to-end testing coverage utilizing Cypress across our parallel CI pipelines, ensuring comprehensive test automation for our SaaS platform. You will contribute to establishing and enhancing our mobile automation framework using Playwright or similar tools, creating repeatable and scalable automated tests for our React Native application. Writing unit tests with Jest will be part of your routine to maintain high code quality across components and utilities.

Beyond front-end testing, you will validate backend logic, Cloud Functions (Node.js), and Firestore security rules using Firebase Emulator Suite. Collaborating with engineers, you will test and validate AI-powered features, including Google Vision AI for OCR and Document AI for document classification. You will ensure seamless test execution within Bitbucket CI/CD pipelines and utilize our library of Chrome snippets to support environment setup and maintenance.

To support overall application quality, you will leverage session replay and heatmap tools like Smartlook to debug UX issues, reproduce bugs, and improve user interactions. Partnering closely with the engineering team, you will champion a high standard of quality throughout all phases of software development, from planning to release, ensuring that every deployment meets our rigorous quality benchmarks.
