Job summary

LGC Biosearch Technologies is seeking a Supervisor of Quality Control to lead the QC Chemistry and QC Analytics laboratories in a fast‑paced, regulated environment in Petaluma, CA. The role focuses on team leadership, capacity planning, and cross‑functional coordination across Quality Control, Manufacturing, and R&D.

You will oversee analytical testing, ensure GMP/ISO compliance, mentor staff, and drive continuous improvement in laboratory practices and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific field.
• Experience leading a regulated QC team in a lab.
• Knowledge of analytical testing for chemicals and oligos.
• Experience with HPLC, LC‑MS, spectrophotometers, DNA synthesizers, and pH meters.
• Familiar with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP and documentation practices.
• Ability to review results and support technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for QC lab teams and areas.
• Assign work, train staff, and support recruiting and succession.
• Develop capacity and cross‑training aligned with production needs.
• Oversee analytical testing using HPLC, LC‑MS, spectrophotometry.
• Review results against specs and customer requirements.
• Support investigations, deviations, risk assessments, and reports.
• Ensure compliant documentation under GMP/ISO standards.
• Collaborate to align testing with schedules and quality expectations.
• Author and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and safety docs.
• Drive process improvements for safety and efficiency.
