LGC Biosearch Technologies in Petaluma, CA, is seeking a Supervisor, Quality Control to lead the QC Chemistry Laboratory and the QC Analytics Laboratory, supporting high-throughput oligonucleotide testing and production activities within regulated quality systems.

The role provides strategic team leadership, coordinates priorities across Quality Control, Manufacturing, R&D, and Quality, and drives operational consistency across laboratory teams.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field
• Hands-on laboratory experience in a regulated Quality Control environment with demonstrated ability to lead laboratory priorities and staff
• Working knowledge of analytical testing for chemical products and oligonucleotides
• Proficiency operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting relevant laboratory equipment, including HPLC, LC-MS, spectrophotometers, DNA synthesizers, and pH meters
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP, GDP, and quality documentation expectations applicable to laboratory testing
• Ability to review analytical results against specifications and customer requirements and support technically sound decisions
• Experience supporting investigations, deviations, risk assessments, and process improvements
• Knowledge of hazardous chemical handling and laboratory safety practices
• Ability to schedule and prioritize analytical work and communicate deadlines to stakeholders
• Ability to train, mentor, and develop Quality Control staff

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership and oversight for Quality Control laboratory teams
• Train and mentor staff and support recruitment and succession planning
• Develop capacity and cross-training strategies aligned with production needs
• Oversee analytical testing using HPLC, LC-MS, spectrophotometry, and DNA synthesizers
• Review results against specifications and customer requirements
• Oversee investigations, deviations, and risk assessments
• Ensure compliant documentation under GMP/GLP and ISO standards
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, R&D, and Quality to align testing schedules
• Draft and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and QC records
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase safety and efficiency
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
