Job summary

Publix is seeking a quality assurance professional to serve as a key resource for associates and managers at its manufacturing facilities in Florida. You will cover department tasks in the absence of the Department Manager, lead HACCP activities, and maintain safety and quality programs.

Responsibilities include training, interacting with auditors, and driving continuous improvement through KPI analysis and data-driven actions. A strong team player with GMP knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds and stand for long shifts.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), PPE.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a critical resource to associates and managers at Publix facilities.
• Perform tasks and assume Dept Manager duties in their absence.
• Plan and conduct job skill training for all associates.
• Report to the QA Department Manager.
• Develop, monitor, and verify the HACCP Plan for all products and processes.
• Maintain Food Safety and Quality Programs (SQF, allergens, SSOPs).
• Interact with regulatory auditors (FDA, USDA, Florida Dept).
• Assist plant management with quality issues.
• Act as QA contact in the absence of the QA manager.
• Monitor QA responsibilities and communicate programs effectively.
• Lead continuous improvement projects and analyze KPIs.
