Job summary

Higher Recruitment, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to oversee daily QA operations in a regulated cosmetics/personal care manufacturing environment in Minnesota.

You will lead a small team of three QA professionals, ensuring product quality and regulatory compliance while driving continuous improvement. The role requires hands-on quality investigations, documentation, audits, CAPA, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to maintain audit readiness and safe, high‑quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Quality, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years QA experience in regulated manufacturing.
• Experience leading and coaching teams.
• Cosmetics/personal care or pharma regulated environment preferred.
• Experience with FDA/ISO audits.
• Knowledge of cGMPs, QMS, deviations, CAPA, and root cause investigations.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and escalate quality risks.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop a team of QA professionals.
• Serve as escalation point for quality, compliance, and product issues.
• Ensure FDA regulatory compliance, cGMPs, SOPs, and product specs.
• Review batch records and manufacturing docs for accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee inspections of materials, packaging, labels, and finished products.
• Lead deviations, complaints, and CAPA investigations with root cause analysis.
• Ensure CAPAs are implemented and effective.
• Participate in audits and support audit readiness.
• Support IQ/OQ/PQ validation activities as applicable.
• Develop and improve QA procedures and training.
• Train employees on GMPs and quality systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Monitor quality metrics and drive improvements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
