Job summary

Shiseido Americas is seeking a Supervisor, Quality Control Production to lead a QC team and uphold cGMP standards for makeup products, components, WIPs, and finished goods. You will supervise inspectors, manage sampling plans, and drive continuous improvement in quality metrics.

Under the Quality Manager, you will review NCRs, CAPAs, and data trends, mentor staff, and ensure regulatory documentation and equipment readiness. This onsite role offers strong growth in a global beauty leader.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field, technical certificate, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Control, preferably cosmetics/personal care/pharma/food packaging with FDA/cGMP exposure.
• Strong working knowledge of cGMP requirements and sampling methods (ANSI/ASQ Z1.4, ISO 2859).
• Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in basic math and use of inspection equipment.
• Able to distinguish color and identify cosmetic defects.
• MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise QC Inspectors to support production schedules while maintaining quality and compliance.
• Oversee sampling, inspection, and disposition of components, finished goods, and WIPs per Product Specifications and approved sampling plans.
• Perform organoleptic evaluations of cosmetics and compare to Reference Standards.
• Review NCRs, investigate root causes, and ensure timely disposition.
• Review CAPA actions for effectiveness and sustainment.
• Monitor quality trends, defect rates, and recurring issues; recommend improvements.
• Track inspector productivity and adherence to KPIs.
• Train and coach inspectors on methodologies, sampling, documentation, and equipment use.
• Ensure documentation accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain Reference Standards and inspection aids; ensure daily equipment verification.
• Collaborate with Production and cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement.
• Assist in audits, investigations, and responses to inquiries.
• Maintain 6S and safety in QC areas.
