Job summary

Clayton Manufacturing seeks a QA Manager to monitor production quality, ensure code compliance, and train team members on the line. You will communicate changes to the production team and maintain quality documentation.

The role involves coordinating inspections, preparing HUD and Energy Star reports, and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate has extensive quality management experience in manufacturing, with leadership capabilities and a strong

Qualifications

• Previous experience preferred in manufactured housing.
• Leadership / management experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in Quality department preferred.
• Certification relating to quality preferred.
• Expert level of knowledge of material.
• Ability to read and understand both orders and prints.
• Provide a great customer experience to retail stores.
• Leadership ability to ensure parts are pulled in a timely manner.
• Communicating clearly and constructively at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current master copies of documents and records on the production line.
• Distribute materials and updates with clear explanations of changes.
• Review change orders and service trends weekly.
• Initiate ECRs for design or floor plan changes.
• Ensure QA databases and training records are up to date.
• Lead QA inspections and report findings to executives.
• Oversee HUD 302, Alternate Construction and Energy Star reports.
• Train new team members and department transfers.
• Ensure compliance with IPIA inspections and corrective actions.
