Job summary

Clayton Manufacturing is a leading homebuilder expanding its operations footprint. We seek an experienced operations leader to supervise production teams, ensure quality, safety, and on-time performance across departments in Waycross, GA.

You will coach managers, implement lean methods (6S, Kaizen) and drive process improvements to shorten lead times and reduce costs while fostering an accountable culture across the site. Strong communication and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2-3 years relevant management experience.
• Previous construction experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in manufactured housing is greatly desired.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
• Microsoft Word, Excel, as well as basic math skills.
• Must be detail-oriented and can multi-task effectively.
• Ability to read and understand home building specifications greatly desired.
• Demonstrated adherence to safety protocols.
• Ability to adapt quickly and make sound decisions in a changing, fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

• Ability to lead large groups of people and focus on developing a culture of accountability working as a team
• Strict adherence and compliance with quality assurance requirements to include HUD building codes.
• Be safety minded and have the ability to put safety first as you must adhere to strict safety rules and guidelines.
• Reviewing production performance and identifying training opportunities of production personnel as necessary
• Direct teams effectively in each department to ensure timelines and productions priorities are met
• Provide sound leadership, coaching, mentoring, and direction for personnel development and team member engagement
• Improve production processes for the purpose of improving overall quality, reducing lead-times, and lowering costs of operations by utilizing Lean Manufacturing methods, 6S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, etc. applications where necessary
• Lead, guide, and direct department leaders
• Other duties assigned
