Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Commissioning Manager to lead testing and commissioning for HV, BESS, and PV projects. You will coordinate with cross‑functional teams, ensure compliance with safety standards, and help deliver reliable renewable energy assets from commissioning through closeout.

The role is hybrid with on‑site requirements and travel as needed. The position requires at least 3 years of commissioning experience, strong electrical knowledge, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of testing and commissioning on utility-scale electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing project teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project commissioning team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient execution of tasks.
• Report daily to the Commissioning Manager, status of each project assigned.
• Review technical, contractual, and regulatory requirements related to commissioning and assist with the development of milestone and deliverables list, plan, and procedures.
• Coordinate with OEM suppliers regarding equipment-specific testing and commissioning activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and QA teams to align commissioning activities and deliverables.
• Develop integrated P6 testing and commissioning schedules and maintain weekly updates.
• Develop the commissioning resource plan for the project.
• Review energization procedures and assist with switching activities and safety plans as required.
• Identify and propose corrective actions for issues identified during commissioning or operation.
• Contribute to standardization of processes and lessons learned across projects.
• Maintain logs for lessons learned and equipment warranty tracking.
