Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Commissioning Manager to lead testing and commissioning for HV, BESS, and PV projects.

You will oversee commissioning teams, coordinate with engineering, construction, and QA, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance throughout the process. The role requires hands-on management of schedules, resources, and procedures, with a focus on delivering fully operable renewable assets at site locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of testing and commissioning on utility-scale electrical systems.
• Experience managing project teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and proactive issue resolution skills.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project commissioning team, provide guidance and training.
• Report daily to the Commissioning Manager with project status.
• Develop project milestones, commissioning plans, and procedures.
• Coordinate with OEM suppliers for equipment testing and commissioning activities.
• Align commissioning activities with engineering, construction, and QA teams.
• Develop integrated P6 testing/commissioning schedules and keep updated weekly.
• Create commissioning resource plans for projects.
• Review energization procedures and assist switching activities per plan.
• Identify and recommend corrective actions for issues during commissioning.
• Support standards and processes to improve business practices.
• Manage pre-commissioning, cold, warm, and hot tests for BESS/HV/PV systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
• Prepare daily commissioning reports and track test results and actions.
• Monitor timelines and resources to ensure delivery.
• Capture lessons learned and track equipment warranty.
• Establish and manage safety programs like tagging, LOTO, and work permits.
