Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Commissioning Manager to lead testing and commissioning for HV, BESS, and PV projects. You will collaborate with the Commissioning Manager and SMEs to ensure safe, compliant, and fully operable renewable assets.

The role is hybrid with on-site presence at job sites and periodic remote work. Responsibilities include coordinating commissioning plans, schedules, and resources; working with engineering, construction, and QA teams; and developing daily

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of testing and commissioning on utility-scale electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing project teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project commissioning team, providing guidance and support.
• Report daily on status of each project to the Commissioning Manager.
• Develop project milestone/commissioning plan and procedures.
• Coordinate with OEM suppliers on testing and commissioning activities.
• Align with engineering, construction, and QA for commissioning tasks.
• Develop and update integrated P6 testing/commissioning schedules weekly.
• Develop commissioning resource plan for the project.
• Perform switching activities and develop plans and LOTO as required.
• Identify and recommend corrective actions for issues found.
• Maintain standards and processes to improve commissioning operations.
• Oversee pre-commissioning and various commissioning tests for BESS, HV, PV systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry safety and environmental regulations.
• Prepare daily commissioning reports and review test results and actions.
• Travel as needed; on-site throughout commissioning; performance of site safety programs.
