Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Commissioning Manager to oversee testing and commissioning for HV, BESS, and PV projects across multiple sites in the US.

The role requires collaboration with the Commissioning Manager and subject-matter experts to ensure safe, compliant, and fully operable renewables assets. The position supports project‑level commissioning teams, coordinates with cross‑functional stakeholders, and ensures a smooth transition from commissioning through closeout.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in testing and commissioning on utility scale electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing project teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project commissioning team, providing guidance, training, and support.
• Report daily to the Commissioning Manager on project status.
• Develop project milestones, commissioning plans, and procedures in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with OEM suppliers on equipment testing and commissioning activities.
• Ensure alignment with engineering, construction, and QA across commissioning tasks.
• Develop and manage integrated testing and commissioning schedules, updating weekly.
• Create commissioning resource plans and ensure readiness of personnel and equipment.
• Review energization procedures and support switching activities during commissioning.
• Identify and address technical issues discovered during commissioning or operation.
• Develop and maintain standards, processes, and lessons learned for future projects.
