Job summary

San Lorenzo Unified School District is seeking a detail-oriented purchasing clerk to support the procurement of supplies and equipment. You will prepare and process purchasing forms, obtain pricing data, review requisitions, and issue purchase orders while maintaining accurate records and inventory of textbooks/workbooks.

You will coordinate with the district to ensure compliance with policies and timelines, handle inquiries, and support asset disposal and reporting efforts as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with purchasing, requisitions and vendor communications.
• Familiarity with inventory management and asset reporting.
• Strong math and data entry skills.
• Ability to interpret rules and use office software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, verify and process purchasing forms and documents.
• Obtain pricing and related purchasing data.
• Review and process purchase requisitions; verify accuracy of expense approvals.
• Issue purchase orders and maintain automated records.
• Maintain inventory of textbooks/workbooks and coordinate obsolescence.
• Respond to inquiries concerning purchasing and order status.
• Operate office equipment and maintain records and reports.
