Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms in Hazlehurst, MS is seeking a detail-oriented clerical assistant to support order processing and record maintenance. Daily tasks include data entry for orders, ensuring timely procurement of supplies, and preparing requisitions and purchase orders in our purchasing management software.

You will also monitor purchase orders, contact suppliers about late or missing orders, and assist with monthly inventory to keep systems accurate and up-to-date.

Qualifications

• At least two years of clerical experience.
• Fluent English communication, both written and spoken.
• Proficient computer and math skills.
• Able to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical function related to the processing of orders, ensuring the timely acquisition of supplies, equipment and materials.
• Complete order entry into purchasing management software including preparing purchase requisitions, generating purchase orders, obtain price quotes when needed, etc.;
• Monitor and track purchase orders; contact suppliers for late or missing orders when needed
• Prepare purchasing reports as requested ensuring data reported is accurate and up-to-date
• Assist with monthly inventory
