DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
The Temperature Control Division of Standard Motor Products has a Purchasing Assistant position open at our Lewisville, Texas location.
The role entails providing support to the purchasing department through comprehensive data analysis, effective contract management, and adherence to documentation standards. This position necessitates collaboration with multiple departments such as purchasing, product development, engineering, operations, and suppliers. The responsibilities include analyzing expenditures, facilitating new item setups, and assisting in negotiations and workshops.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
The analyst is responsible for maintaining supplier data, preparing reports, managing contracts, and ensuring compliance within ISO standards. This includes creating and maintaining purchasing master data in the ERP system and supporting future structure in trade agreements.

REQUIREMENTS / EXPERIENCE :
Candidates need a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, SQL, mid to advanced proficiency in MS Excel, and knowledge of JD Edwards ERP / MRP systems. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
Candidates will be required to take an MS Excel skills assessment.
