Endeavor Health in Elmhurst, IL seeks a Clinical Nurse Educator for the Pulmonary Medicine Unit on a 0.3 FTE, part-time schedule (Monday–Friday, Days). The educator will provide direct patient care when needed and lead nursing education to develop staff competencies on the unit.

The role emphasizes mentoring, competency development, and collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Manager to assess education needs, design effective teaching plans, and promote safety, quality outcomes, and continued

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in nursing; Diploma in Nursing with Bachelor’s in Health-Related Field; Masters preferred.
• Licensure: Current Professional Nursing Licensure in Illinois; specialty certification; BLS/ACLS/PALS as applicable.
• Experience: At least five years of clinical experience in hospital/academic setting.
• Unique skills: Adult learner knowledge, communication, teamwork, and teaching ability.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care as needed.
• Serve as clinical resource and mentor for staff.
• Collaborate with Clinical Nurse Manager to assess education needs.
• Develop and implement unit-based education programs.
• Onboard and orient new staff and preceptors.
• Evaluate staff orientation experiences and learning outcomes.
• Lead in-unit in-services for new products and policies.
• Support specialty certification preparation.
