Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator for the Medical 5th Floor Unit at Elmhurst Hospital. This part-time role (0.3 FTE) focuses on staff development and nursing education, with direct patient care as part of the duties.

You will mentor staff, collaborate with the Clinical Nurse Manager, and drive education initiatives across the unit to enhance safety, quality, and patient outcomes. Strong clinical background and teaching skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required; master’s preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Illinois with required certifications.
• Minimum five years of clinical experience in medical center or hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as part of routine duties.
• Act as clinical mentor and role model for staff.
• Collaborate with Clinical Nurse Manager to assess staff education needs.
• Assist in developing unit-based competency requirements for nurses and techs.
• Lead onboarding programs to ensure smooth role integration.
• Evaluate orientation experiences to ensure safety and independence.
