Job summary

EC Electric, Inc. is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across the Puget Sound region. You will develop strategies, cultivate owner/developer partnerships, and identify opportunities from concept to contract.

You will collaborate with Operations, Preconstruction, Estimating, and Marketing to craft winning pursuits and build an executive-level network with key decision-makers. This role emphasizes a strong market presence and strategic growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred and 10+ years in electrical construction with BD experience.
• Role requires 40–60% travel throughout Puget Sound region and minimal remote work.
• Strong BD, relationship-building, and strategic sales capabilities are essential.
• Familiarity with electrical construction, estimating, preconstruction, and CRM systems is desired.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a business development strategy for the Puget Sound region aligned with growth objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, developers, engineering firms, architects, consultants, GC's, and trade partners.
• Identify, qualify, and track opportunities from concept through award.
• Collaborate with Operations, Preconstruction, Estimating, and Marketing to shape pursuits.
• Maintain market presence through meetings, visits, organizations, and events.
• Maintain an opportunity pipeline with measurable growth and forecasting metrics.
• Support proposals, interviews, budgets, and qualifications packages.
• Develop executive-level relationships with decision makers and influencers.
