EC Electric is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth in the Puget Sound region. You will identify opportunities, build executive relationships, and coordinate with operations, preconstruction, and marketing to win strategic work.

The role requires a deep electrical industry network and a track record of converting relationships into awarded projects, with 40–60% travel across the Puget Sound area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; ten years in electrical construction or related field recognized as equivalent experience.
• Minimum of ten (10) years in the electrical construction industry with five (5) years in Business Development or related roles.
• Willingness to travel 40–60% across Puget Sound region; strong network in the local market advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a business development strategy for the Puget Sound region aligned with growth objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, developers, engineering firms, architects, and general contractors.
• Identify, qualify, and track project opportunities from concept through award.
• Collaborate with Operations, Preconstruction, Estimating, and Marketing to craft pursuit strategies.
• Maintain an active market presence through meetings, visits, and industry events.
• Foster executive-level relationships with key decision makers and project influencers.
• Drive a consultative sales approach and align company resources to deliver value-driven solutions.
