Job summary

State of Maryland – Centreville (Queen Anne's County) seeks a Licensing and Registration Center Supervisor to lead boat dealers and sport licensing agents, act as second-in-command to the Center Manager, and serve as the main liaison between the Department and the public.

The role oversees Licensing and Registration Technicians and ensures compliant operations across vessel registrations, hunting/fishing licenses, and related permits.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
• Experience: Four years of experience involving titling and registering boats and issuing hunting and fishing licenses and permits.
• Notes: Candidates may substitute additional experience involving titling and registering boats and issuing hunting and fishing licenses and permits on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
• Notes: Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Compliance Inspection and Support classifications or Compliance Inspection and Support specialty codes in the Inspection, Investigation, Enforcement, and Compliance field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

Responsibilities

• supervises lower-level Licensing and Registration Technicians and acts as second-in-command for the Licensing & Registration Center Manager.
• Functions as the Supervisor at the regional office, assisting with the management of boat dealers and sport licensing agents.
• Serves as a front-line connection between the Department and the constituency it serves.
