Job summary

ACPL is seeking a Library Supervisor at Graham and Mebane locations. The role covers overseeing branch operations, supervising part-time staff, and acting as branch lead in absence of the Branch Manager, ensuring a welcoming, accurate information experience for patrons of all ages.

Responsibilities include training staff, scheduling, managing meeting room use via LibCal, developing programs, handling circulation, and performing standard supervisory tasks such as timesheets and performance

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service within a library or service-oriented setting.
• Ability to supervise part-time staff and support a Branch Manager.
• Strong communication and organizational skills for daily operations.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekend rotation as needed.

Responsibilities

• Act as person in charge in the Branch Manager's absence.
• Supervise part-time staff and guide Circulation Department tasks.
• Train new staff and manage daily deposits and cash handling.
• Prepare weekly schedules and ensure smooth service desk operations.
• Manage meeting room scheduling using LibCal and plan monthly programs.
• Oversee library displays, collection development, and supervisory duties.
• Open/close library per established procedures and handle patron inquiries.
