The State of Ohio, Public Safety – Bureau of Motor Vehicles, is seeking a Customer Service Assistant 2 in Columbus, OH. You will handle inquiries and provide accurate information in a fast-paced environment, with a Monday–Friday schedule and 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. hours.

Work location is 1970 West Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43223, with on-site parking and benefits. This permanent full-time role offers competitive pay and opportunities for growth within the agency.

Qualifications

• 9 months of training or 9 months of experience in office practices and procedures.
• 9 months of training or 9 months of experience in public relations or customer service that included techniques for handling difficult people.
• 9 months of training or 9 months of experience in typing, keyboarding, data entry or word processing.
• 9 months of training or 9 months of experience in operation of personal computer.

Responsabilités

• Respond to inquiries, requests for information and/or complaints that require in-depth knowledge of applicable laws, rules, policies and procedures as they pertain in given situation.
• Greet and respond to in-person, telephone and/or written inquiries in a professional, courteous, friendly, respectful, and timely manner to ensure positive internal and/or external customer service.
• Listen carefully to internal and/or external customer's questions and/or concerns and ask appropriate follow-up questions to verify understanding.
• Provide a complete, knowledgeable, accurate, precise response immediately or provide a firm commitment as to when a response will be provided.
• Follow-up to ensure all of the customer's questions and/or concerns have been thoroughly answered.
