Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Engineer to drive technical strategy for U.S. Public Sector customers, including K12, higher education, and local government. You’ll translate business needs into Cisco-based solutions across networking, security, collaboration, and cloud domains.

You will partner with account teams, architects, and CX to optimize adoption, maintain trust, and showcase value through demonstrations and tailored technical deliverables.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a customer facing, field-sales engineering role or network engineering role
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience with Cisco technologies, including networking, security, collaboration, or cloud solutions
• Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales quotas

Responsibilities

• Dive into customers’ business to understand challenges and develop technical strategies
• Work with partners, architecture teams, and CX organization to ensure adoption and optimization of solutions
• Establish a partnership with Account Manager to drive a robust pipeline through discovery, demos, and deliverables
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through regular in-person meetings and touchpoints
• Stay ahead of industry trends and competitive strategy
