Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Solutions Engineer to support U.S. Public Sector customers in Hartford and beyond, covering K-12, higher education, and local government.

You will translate customer needs into technical strategies and design cutting-edge Cisco solutions that solve real-world problems. You will collaborate across partners, architecture teams, and the CX organization to ensure successful adoption and optimization, while developing a robust pipeline through discovery and demonstrations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a customer-facing, field-sales engineering role or network engineering role.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with Cisco technologies, including networking, security, collaboration, or cloud solutions.
• Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales quotas.

Responsibilities

• Dive into customers’ business to understand challenges and develop technical strategies where Cisco can help.
• Work with partners, architecture teams, and CX organization to ensure adoption and optimization of solutions.
• Establish a partnership with the Account Manager to drive a robust pipeline via discovery, demos, and value-led deliverables.
• Build and maintain strong relationships through in-person meetings and regular touchpoints.
• Stay current with industry trends and competitive strategy.
