Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Solutions Engineer for the SLED market. This remote-based role requires residency in the Denver metro area with travel to customer sites across Colorado.

You will partner with an Account Executive to design solutions spanning Networking, Security, Data Center, Observability and Collaboration, translating technical detail into business value for public sector customers. Qualifications

• 5+ years in a pre-sales/solutions engineer role.
• CCNP Enterprise or equivalent; CCNP certification within 12 months if not held.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field — or a minimum of 4 years of documented equivalent practical experience.
• Excellent presentation skills and the ability to travel to customer locations for meetings and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Territory co-ownership with Account Executive to plan, strategize, and grow across the SLED territory.
• Technical leadership across Networking, Security, Data Center Switching, Observability, and Collaboration.
• Lead discovery sessions, technical demos, and proofs-of-concept to move opportunities forward.
• Use AI-driven tools to streamline discovery and demo-building, identifying efficiencies for customers.
• Engage with executives and stakeholders at multiple levels to build trust and credibility.
• Collaborate with regional teams, architecture specialists, and channel partners to deliver complete solutions.
