Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer for the Public Sector Federal segment in Washington, DC. You will be the technical lynchpin across the sales cycle, educating and enabling government customers on Cloudflare's global network and platform.

You will collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Support to tailor security and networking solutions, train new customers, and contribute to long-term technology strategy while traveling to meet clients and events.

Qualifications

• Understanding of OSI Model layers 1-7, routing TCP/UDP, DNS, HTTP(S), SSL/TLS.
• Familiarity with SASE, Secure Web Gateway, CASB, DLP, SD-WAN.
• Experience with on-prem infrastructure and networking configurations.
• 4+ years in a customer-facing sales or consulting role supporting US Federal Government.
• Strong technical curiosity and ability to stay current with industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical discussions and implementations for public sector sales to generate and expand business.
• Lead demonstrations, discovery, and PoC work with prospects and customers.
• Advise customers on technical best practices and Cloudflare product deployments.
• Travel 35-45% to meet with prospects and attend events.
