Job summary

The Florida Department of Children & Families – Office of Economic Self-Sufficiency is seeking an Operations & Management Consultant I to identify and resolve operational and management problems. You will train employees on effective methods, review and coordinate policy implementation, and develop improvement plans for program effectiveness.

The role involves on-site analysis, collaboration with program staff, and supporting implementation of system enhancements like CAMS.

Qualifications

• Experience working in ESS in a supervisory capacity.
• Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to improve operational and management practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Spanish/Creole/French or other language skills may be considered in selection.

Responsibilities

• Recommends operation policies and assists in establishing procedures to implement policies and meet objectives.
• Monitors operation activities to ensure compliance with statewide goals.
• Investigates, analyzes and recommends solutions to operational problems.
• Provides daily consultation to management and staff on service programs and operations.
• Consults with program supervisors to resolve issues and improve operations.
• Performs on-site analysis of operational problems and helps implement solutions.
• Assists in CAMS development, testing and performance evaluation.
• Serves as single point of contact for auxiliary aids and services to the deaf and hard of hearing.
