Job summary

State of Florida is seeking an Operations & Management Consultant I-SES to lead supervisory efforts within the Economic Self-Sufficiency program. The role reports to the Program Administrator and requires extensive knowledge of federal/state laws and program practices.

Location may include Pinellas/Hillsborough/Sarasota counties with no telework option; tobacco-free facility and strong leadership expectations for staff development and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Four years or more of professional experience in DCF Economic Self-Sufficiency processing for eligibility determination, investigation, interviewing or counseling.
• Minimum one year of supervisory experience over eligibility in the DCF-ESS Program.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of front-line supervisors for service delivery to departmental customers.
• Evaluate subordinates and their administrative units on performance and quality of service.
• Develop and coordinate corrective action reports per policy and timelines.
• Monitor and evaluate operational outcomes and performance data.
• Recommend and initiate performance improvement strategies.
• Prepare reports and presentations.
• Assist with operational planning and service delivery.
• Resolve difficult or high-profile client or provider issues using program expertise.
