Job summary

The City of Rocklin seeks an experienced human resources professional to join our Human Resources Division. The ideal candidate understands public sector HR practices and can independently manage recruitment, personnel actions, and employee relations.

They will balance competing priorities, exercise sound judgment, and provide responsive, solution‑focused service to employees, managers, and stakeholders while delivering timely consultation and data‑driven recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, finance, human resources, economics, or a related field.
• Three (3) years of professional public administration or HR experience.
• Public sector experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides HR consultation and services in recruitment, classification, compensation, performance management, labor relations, and benefits.
• Plans and conducts recruitment activities and interview panels.
• Maintains classification plans and conducts job analyses.
• Administers leaves and workers’ compensation; supports employee development.
• Coordinates with departments and outside agencies on HR matters.
