Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Strategic Pursuits Manager for US State/Local Government & Higher Education sales. You will shape and deliver strategies to build mindshare and broad use of AWS cloud services, working with AWS field and partner teams to win business in the public sector.

The role requires capture, business development and strong negotiation skills, with travel up to 30% and location flexibility across AWS offices in the US.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Executes strategies and tactics to deliver a qualified pipeline with pursuit/win plans for each.
• Research and analyze data to identify cloud-related customer needs and buying trends.
• Build and manage a pipeline of Pre-RFP and RFP opportunities and develop/drive the pursuit plan for each.
• Lead negotiations of direct contracts including Enterprise Agreements, BAA, NDAs, etc.
• Understand and navigate government contracting vehicles and procedures.
• Up to 30% travel.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Translate strategy into proposal win themes during the proposal stage.
