Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect for the World Wide Public Sector practice to accelerate State & Local Government initiatives.

You will own technical engagements, design architectures, respond to RFPs, and advance security and solution delivery across AWS services. Based in the United States with travel, you will collaborate with customers, SI partners, and internal teams to drive cloud adoption, platform optimization, and enterprise-scale software deployments for

Qualifications

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects.
• Define implementation architectures and respond to RFPs.
• Develop deep expertise in AWS technologies and broad know-how of how to build applications on AWS.
• Be a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.
• Lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community.
