Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Strategic Pursuits Manager for the US State/Local Government and Higher Education market to shape and deliver a strategy that expands AWS usage across public sector accounts.

You will collaborate with field sales, partners, and the proposal team to win opportunities and accelerate cloud adoption. The role requires 5+ years in go-to-market, business development, or sales, plus strong negotiation and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

5+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience.
Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical executive audiences.
Experience leading complex, multi-year initiatives that may be cross-functional and/or span business and technology.
Solid negotiations skills and ability to navigate government contracting processes.

Responsibilities

Executes strategies and tactics to deliver a qualified pipeline of opportunities with pursuit/win plans for each.
Research and analyze data to identify cloud related customer cloud solutions needs and buying trends (government sources and procurement sites).
Build and manage a pipeline of multiple Pre-RFP and RFP opportunities and develop/drive the pursuit plan for each.
Manage and execute the pursuit plans as well as the proposal response plan while coordinating with key internal stakeholders to position AWS and partners to win the business.
Develop win strategies and innovative procurement approaches tailored to each opportunity, and lead contract negotiations.
