Job summary

EY in the United States is seeking a senior professional to manage compliance and disaster recovery initiatives for government and public sector clients. The role involves coordinating large-scale projects, developing client relationships, and directing teams to ensure fund compliance across FEMA, HUD CDBG-DR, and ARPA programs.

You will travel to client sites and work in a hybrid EY environment, collaborating across teams to drive business development and deliver high-impact outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, emergency management or related field.
• 5+ years in compliance, audit, financial management, disaster recovery and/or emergency management.
• Achieved a professional designation, such as CPA, CFE, or CEM.
• Disaster management experience, preferably within a professional services firm.
• Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize multiple engagements.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills; able to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours when necessary.
• Access to reliable transportation; driver's license recommended.

Responsibilities

• Support government and public sector clients with management and compliance of disaster recovery funding via FEMA, HUD CDBG-DR, ARPA.
• Manage large projects for states/local governments and develop client relationships.
• Lead interactions with local governments to support project development and verify compliance requirements.
• Oversee teams that monitor federally funded projects and ensure client needs are met.
• Collaborate with EY professionals across solutions on business development initiatives.
• Travel and presence at client sites and in-office work are required.
