Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a GAAP Compilation Senior Consultant to join our Public Sector group, serving state and local governments across the United States. You will oversee the day-to-day GAAP compilations and related reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with professional standards.

In this role you will identify accounting and reporting issues, advise on process improvements, and lead staff while maintaining strong client relationships. Travel is limited but may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• Minimum five years of attest experience in a professional services firm.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS and PCAOB standards.
• Strong communication, client service and collaboration skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily U.S. GAAP compilations and related reporting.
• Identify accounting, financial statement and reporting issues.
• Recommend business/process improvements based on client operations.
• Build strong client relationships and deliver superior service.
• Supervise staff with guidance and performance evaluations.
• Invest in professional development through training and networking.
• Assist with campus recruiting and referrals.
• Demonstrate teamwork, positive attitude and high ethics.
• Travel is limited but may be required.
