Job summary

Baker Tilly US, LLP is seeking a GAAP Compilation Senior Consultant for its Public Sector group to serve state and local governments across the United States. You will oversee GAAP compilations, reporting and related projects, guiding staff and delivering high-quality client service.

The role emphasizes knowledge of US GAAP/GAAS, PCAOB standards, and strong communication skills, with opportunities for professional development and limited travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; Master’s Degree or advanced degree preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of attest services in a professional services firm.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB Auditing Standards.
• Demonstrated communication, public speaking, client service, relationship building and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day to day activities of U.S. GAAP compilations and reporting, agreed upon procedures, and special projects.
• Identify accounting, financial statement, and reporting issues according to professional guidelines including U.S. GAAP.
• Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based on client operations, processes, and objectives.
• Proactively build relationships and communicate effectively with clients to provide superior service.
• Supervise and lead staff through guidance and coaching; evaluate performance on engagements.
• Invest in professional development through training and networking events.
• Assist with recruiting activities including campus recruiting and referrals.
• Demonstrate excellent team skills, high ethical standards, and a positive attitude.
• Travel is limited but may be required.
