Baker Tilly is seeking a GAAP Compilation Senior Consultant for the Public Sector group, serving U.S. state and local governments and related entities. You will oversee GAAP compilations, reporting, and related procedures, while guiding staff and contributing to client service excellence.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Accounting, CPA preferred, and at least five years in attest services, with strong communication and Microsoft Office skills. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• Minimum five years of attest services in a professional services firm.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards.
• Strong communication, public speaking, client service, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day U.S. GAAP compilations and reporting.
• Identify accounting and reporting issues per GAAP guidelines.
• Recommend business and process improvements based on client operations.
• Build relationships and communicate effectively with clients.
• Supervise staff with guidance and performance evaluations.
• Engage in staff development and training.
• Assist with recruiting and referrals.
• Demonstrate teamwork, ethics, and positive attitude.
• Travel limited but may be required.
