Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a GAAP Compilation Senior Consultant to join our Public Sector group, serving state and local governments across the United States. In this role you will oversee daily GAAP compilations, reporting, and procedures while upholding professional standards.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting, 5+ years of attest experience, CPA preferred, and strong communication, client service and team leadership skills. The position offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• Master’s Degree or other advanced degree desired.
• CPA preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of attest experience in a professional services firm.
• Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day activities of U.S. GAAP compilations and reporting, agreed-upon procedures, and special projects.
• Identify accounting, financial statement, and reporting issues based on professional guidelines including U.S. GAAP.
• Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based on client operations and objectives.
• Proactively build relationships and communicate effectively with clients to provide superior service.
• Supervise and lead staff through counsel, guidance and coaching; evaluate performance.
• Invest in professional development through training sessions and networking events.
• Assist with recruiting activities including campus recruiting and referrals to the firm.
• Demonstrate excellent team skills, positive attitude and high ethical standards.
• Travel is limited but may be required.
