The City of Salisbury is seeking a Finance Manager to direct professional accounting functions, supervise staff, and support budget strategy in a dynamic municipal setting. You will oversee daily accounting activities, cash reconciliation, GL, accounts payable and payroll, while coordinating the annual external audit and advising on fiscal policy.

This role requires strong analytical and communication skills and the ability to manage deadlines.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field with accounting/public sector experience.
• Must have a valid NC Driver’s License.
• CLGFO certification preferred; ability to obtain certification considered.
• 3–5 years governmental accounting experience; supervisory/management preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee daily accounting activities and supervise accounting staff.
• Direct cash reconciliation, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, and payroll.
• Prepare interpretative and analytical financial statements and analyze city revenues/expenditures.
• Assist budget staff and coordinate the annual external audit process.
• Provide technical guidance and rule interpretation to city staff.
