Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, or financial management.
• At least three years of supervisory, team leadership, or project management experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience managing complex accounting operations, budgets, internal controls, and financial analysis.
• Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret financial regulations and communicate complex information to leadership.
• Ability to successfully complete required background screening.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting and finance personnel, mentoring and overseeing workload.
• Oversee financial reporting, general ledger activities, year-end close, and ACFR prep.
• Support budgeting, operating and capital Improvement budgets.
• Develop financial models, forecasts, projections, and reports for planning.
• Coordinate audits and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Oversee grants and CIP project accounting.
• Manage debt compliance and reporting for bonds and other financing activities.
• Evaluate accounting systems, strengthen internal controls, and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with executives and departments to support financial objectives and resource allocation.
• Assist Finance Director with strategic initiatives and leadership representation.
