The City of Baltimore’s Mayor’s Office of Employment Development seeks a Fiscal Supervisor / Budget Analyst to oversee fiscal operations, budgeting, and reporting within a public sector context. You will supervise staff, ensure accuracy, and support strategic financial planning for city programs.

This role focuses on budget development, forecasting, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while coordinating with program teams and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 4 years in budgeting, fiscal administration, financial analysis, or governmental accounting.
• At least 2 years supervising staff or leading fiscal operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily fiscal operations, including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Assist in preparation, development, and administration of departmental and grant-funded budgets.
• Prepare financial forecasts, projections, and variance analyses for leadership.
• Monitor grant expenditures and funding utilization for compliance with grant requirements.
